He described the alternative he adopted: the historical materialism and analyzed how will that alternative be helpful in finding a way out of contemporary dilemmas. The referent point of this discussion is Samir Amin's analysis of Eurocentrism, as a political economist, who saw capitalism and Eurocentrism as inherently contradicting. The three themes of 'Paradox of Non-West' namely knowledge claims, the power to define, and capitalist exploitation are discussed. There arises a paradox from allowing Eurocentric distortion being applied to Non-West.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the widely perceived, much propagated 'Centrality of Europe' and how it dragged us into the impasse of actually-existing-capitalism. Dominant Euro-centrism is getting more and more problematic and we have reached at an “impasse” due to it. Capitalism-in-crisis gets more problematic when it is alloyed with Eurocentric distortion, after which we find ourselves at a flawed standpoint-an incomplete and faulty worldview which affects the idea of the very basic nature of knowledge, history, and civilizations. Besides, Nehru was honoured with Bharat Ratna Award in the year 1955.Actually-existing-capitalism has dragged us to a decisive point in history where we have two alternatives more devastation or possible positive progress. He had written various books such as The Discovery of India, Glimpses of World History and his autobiography, Toward Freedom. Apart of this, very few of us knew that Jawaharlal Nehru was a prolific writer as well. He was against the caste discrimination and establishes secular India. He was a freedom fighter and a central figure before and after independence.

Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. The television series Bharat Ek Khoj which was released in 1988 was based on this book.
